Here's a quick overview of the
Florida CEC Requirements:
11 hrs Technical
(4 hrs must be in Contact Lenses if you are Board Certified)
2 hrs Laws and Rules
2 hrs Prevention of Medical Errors
5 hrs may be Elective (not mandatory, these may be Technical)
Up to 5 of the 20 hours may be taken as home-study / online courses.
We now offer 8 hours to choose from in our home-study !
Update: As many of you know on 07/27/2008 the HIV/AIDS course is no longer a requirement
for everyone. The 1 hr course is only required by first time renewals. But any Optician
may take the course as an elective.

be available by January 2020.
